The Information & Media Technology Academy is designed to prepare students for employment and post-secondary education in a wide variety of information and media technology programs, including industry certification. These programs offer a broad foundation of knowledge and transferable skills designed to prepare students for real world experiences utilizing current technological applications in communication and media fields.

Academy Completions Guidelines
Becoming an academy completer at Sunset earns students certifications, college credit and scholarships.
The following criteria are needed to become a full completer at Miami Sunset:
- Complete all State Florida graduation requirements
- Complete a minimum of 100 hours of community service
- Have a cumulative weighted grade point average of 3.0
