The School of Choice program is a fully operational and open enrollment opportunity, designed to provide students with flexible access to quality education regardless of their grade level. This program welcomes students from all academic backgrounds, offering a supportive and enriching learning environment that encourages academic growth and personal development. With open enrollment, families have the freedom to choose this educational pathway without restrictions based on grade, ensuring that students can enter the program at any stage of their educational journey. Whether a student is entering elementary, middle, or high school, the School of Choice program is committed to providing an inclusive, dynamic, and engaging experience that prepares students for success.

Academy Completion Guidelines

Becoming an academy completer at Sunset earns students’ certifications, college credit and scholarships. The following criteria are needed to become a full completer at Miami Sunset:
Complete all State Florida graduation requirements

  • Complete a minimum of 100 hours of community service
  • Have a cumulative weighted grade point average of 3.0
  • Complete four Health Science courses with a passing grade.
